CCVT Seeks PT Executive Assistant

Executive Assistant Job Description
Provides support to the
Campus Minister. Responsibilities include general office administration,
including maintaining databases and spreadsheets, producing newsletters, and
representing the organization by phone. Additional duties include:
- Assist with writing, layout, production and
mailing of support letters
- Manage databases for churches, individual
supporters, and students
- Cultivate relationship with youth leaders in
Christian Churches/Churches of Christ
- Solicit names and contact information for
incoming VT students from churches
- Assist in setting up and promoting outreach
events
- Pick up mail from P.O. Box
- Obtain corrected addresses from Post Office after
mailings and update mailing list
- Process support checks and mail to Treasurer
- Process CCVT credit card receipts and mail to Treasurer
- Process reimbursement receipts and mail to Treasurer
- Process student offerings
- Add new students to email list
- Maintain attendance spreadsheets
- Other responsibilities the Campus Minister may
assign from time to time
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong Christian faith
- Heart for ministry
- Self-starter
- Detail oriented
Necessary Skills:
- Demonstrated proficiency with current computer
software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and the Internet
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Editing and proofreading skills with a high
degree of accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Maintain confidentiality
- Maintain organization of work space and tasks
- Set priorities, and manage time and deadlines
- Must be dependable and able to work effectively
as part of a team
- Interact comfortably and courteously with
individuals in a diverse multicultural environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
(Having the following would
be a bonus and very helpful.)
- Working knowledge of Windows 8.1, and Google Apps,
especially Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
- Experience maintaining a website
- Ability to design and organize visually
attractive documents
- Experience using social media
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint
- Two years post-secondary education or equivalent
education, training and experience.
- Previous experience providing support in an
academic, church, or professional office environment including maintaining
databases and spreadsheets, producing newsletters, and representing the
organization by phone.
